April 7, 2019 (Hartford, CT) – After nearly 34 years in the Greater Hartford community, Costa del Sol has temporarily closed as of Saturday, April 6th, 2019. Costa del Sol is owned by family members Pepe Feijoo, Maria Dieguez, and Javier Feijoo. “We are very saddened to announce that we have temporarily closed. It has been a year of retirements and family illness. We hope that the community understands and respects our need to focus on our family during this time. We could not have made it for over 30 years without our valued guests, employees, family, friends, and vendors” said owners Pepe Feijoo and Maria Dieguez.

Costa del Sol has had an amazing journey by bringing authentic Spanish cuisine to Hartford. At the time of its 30th year anniversary, it was the oldest surviving Spanish restaurant in Connecticut and one of the oldest white tablecloth restaurants in Hartford. “This is not the end but perhaps a new beginning, we look forward to the day that we can announce our return to the Greater Hartford community. We are planning to take the time to refocus, reenergize, and reemerge stronger than ever. We will continue living and raising our families in this supportive community” said Javier Feijoo.

The Winter Taste of Hartford is back at Costa del sol starting Tuesday, January 22nd through Sunday, February 3rd. We’re featuring our fantastic $30.19 fixed price menu, in addition to our regular menu. Choose an appetizer or soup, an entrée, and a dessert. Our fixed price menu includes:

Appetizer or Soup

Sopa de ajo
Andalusian-style garlic chicken soup with saffron and a hint of Fino sherry

Croquetas de camaron y bacon
Shrimp and bacon croquettes

Ensalada de lechuga verde y radiccio
Salad of mixed artisan greens and radicchio with blood oranges, dried cranberries, red onion, goat cheese, Marcona almonds and dressed with a white balsamic vinaigrette

Yikes, Thanksgiving is on Thursday! Are you still stressing out about what to serve? It’s not too late to order paella or a beautifully assembled charcuterie platter. You can get all your menu favorites ready to go!

We’re closed on Thanksgiving but open on Wednesday for pick-ups so call early in the week to place your orders, (860) 296-1714.
